2/01/09: Innovation at work: Exploravision

Dinosaurs, wooly mammoths, dodos, and many many more. Our planet boasts countless extinct species. Now, as global warming, habitat destruction, and pollution become more prevalent issues in our daily lives, we often can’t help but wonder “what’s next?” Will it be the Great Panda? Loggerhead Seaturtle? Or perhaps humpback whale?

How do we protect these magnificent creatures?

In face of this problems, TPHS Innovation Club members explored the world of animal tracking, which is a necessary component of the ultimate goal of animal protection. They discovered that the most advanced present-day technology is quite primitive and realized the need for innovation.

In twenty years, could a virus and a chemical imaging system potentially track and save the animal kingdom?

Innovation Club members, Albert Chen, Marci Rosenberg, and Alice Fang, entered a competition, Exploravision, with this idea. Take a look at their paper!
